The Operations Supervisor will oversee a variety of back-end responsibilities surrounding the day-to-day operations of Dick Sonne’s. By working in tandem with the sales and service departments, the ideal candidate will contribute to an overall smooth workflow, clean and orderly store front, and a better customer experience. The individual to be considered should be intrinsically motivated, able to work both independently and as a member of a team, and thrives in a variety of work environments.

Key areas of responsibility: Oversee a majority of back-end operations of the shop, supporting both the sales and service departments. Functional tasks include:
-Ensures packing slips and invoices match
-Enters inventory into point-of-sale system and label merchandise
-Ensures cleanliness and orderliness of storefront
-Ensures store essentials (stationery, shop rags, etc., are well-stocked)
-Creates weekly employee schedules
-Follows-up on charges and consignments
-Orders promotional items (Dick Sonne’s merchandise)
-Creates in-store signage/messaging related to service department and store policies
-Pays utilities and investigates ways to increase financial efficiency as well as operate on a “green model”
-Enforces store policies as needed
-Assists on the sales floor in a minor capacity in the slow months (October-March)
-Performs other tasks as needed
Overall, provides the operational structure of the business. Ensures the store looks good and systems and processes are followed.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary
-A passion (or budding passion) for bicycling and fitness is required
-Computer and email skills
-Ability to work both independently and as a team member
-Knowledge of the Bicycle, Ski, Snowboard, and Fitness industries a plus
-Capability of being able to safely lift and carry 40lbs a plus
We intend to train the individual in any areas necessary for the job.
